The
SR-10 Version 2 could be quite easy distinguished from the SR-10
Version 1: The logo of the first is situated inside the display frame, here
it is on the key plate. More important is the display, the second version used a
magnifier lens mounted onto the LED modules for better readability.
The
printed circuit board (PCB) of the second SR-10 looks very similiar to the
original design and uses still two segment drivers and two digit
drivers for the LED-modules. Recently
some more differences were discovered by Kirk B. Muri, the later SR-10
Version 3 removed one
half of the display drivers.
The SR-10 manufactured in Italy for
the European market introduced a slightly different design of the housing.
The SR-10 was sold with different nameplates, don't miss the Radio Shack EC-425
and the Montgomery Ward
P300.
