The European TI-40 Solar is identical to the TI-32 Explorer Plus sold in US. An identical housing was used on the simpler Math Explorer.

In France this calculator - known as TI-40 Collège - lacked the solar cells. It was replaced later by the 2-line model TI-40 Collège II.
