In the year 1993 Texas Instruments introduced a complete new TI-30X family in a smoother housing:

TI-30X  New display with 10 + 2 digits, 3 memories
TI-30X SOLAR With Anylite solar-cells
TI-35X  Adds 2-dim statistics and hex-calculations
TI-36X SOLAR  With Anylite solar-cells

This TI-30 with the 8 digit display was manufactured till 1995 before the TI-30S and its sibbling TI-25X Solar was introduced.
