Comparing this early TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition "MARKETING" manufactured in December 2012 by Kinpo Electronics, Inc. in China with a traditional TI-84 Plus Silver Edition reveals only few differences. The design sports still 3 chips:
• TI REF 84PLUSB/TA3: Z80 microprocessor, RAM, USB-Port
and supporting logic
• Macronix MX29LV320: 4M Bytes Flash ROM
• Ilitek ILI9335: Single-chip 320*240 pixel display driver

microprocessor with 15 MHz and incorporates the RAM, USB-Port and logic. Learn more about the Hardware Architecture of TI’s Graphing Calculators.
Recently members of the Graphing Calculator Programming community under the lead of Xavier Andréani made a very interesting discovery.
|• All TI-84 Plus / S.E. with the TA2 or TA3 ASIC have access
to 128k Bytes RAM.
• All TI-84 Plus / S.E. with the TA1 ASIC have access to only 48k Bytes RAM using
the same assembly commands.
Texas Instruments announced
on March 1st, 2010 the TI-84 Plus Operating System version 2.53MP with
MathPrint™ mode for free download. The OS 2.53MP enables users to input and view math symbols and formulas, including stacked fractions, in their handhelds exactly as the equations appear in textbooks. The
new operating system 4.0 of the TI-84 Plus C Silver Edition is based on the
2.55MP, a minor bug fix of the 2.53MP from January 15, 2011.
