The
TI-57 LCD is another member of the first generation slanted calculators started
with the TI-55-II. If you compare this one with its predecessor
TI-57 you'll
notice some disadvantages in programmability. Overall memory was roughly reduced
by 50%.
The
TI-57 LCD makes use of the two chip Primary-Secondary architecture introduced with
the TI-55 II. Unbelievable that the original TI-57 demonstrated more performance
with a single-chip microcontroller introduced 5 years earlier. Find more information about the TP0456

The limitation of the keyboard is known from the TI-55-II and was the reason of the soon replacement with the TI-57-II.
The coloring off the keyboard differs between Italian and US produced calculators. Compare this Italian design with the TI-57 LCD manufactured in US.
