Texas Instruments TI-2700 Mini Data Bank
Texas
Instruments introduced in the year 1987 this powerful TI-2700 Mini Data Bank. The memory
capacity of 2.8k Byte RAM holds as much as 150 names and the related phone
number, anniversary date or similar.
A
metal plate above the keyboard could be shifted a fraction of an inch to cover
the hidden calculator functions. Don't miss the innovative design of the TI-2900
Info Bank.
The innovative Mini Data Bank traces
back to the Time Manager. A
similar product was introduced by Toshiba nine years earlier with the LC-836MN.
Don't
miss the odd PS-9100 Jot-it Appointment Reminder.
About three years later with the TI-2100 Pocket Info a similar product with the size of a credit card was introduced. The PS-2100 continued the line of small Databanks.
The TI-3100 Pocket Dialer combined the Databank feature with a small loudspeaker to generate the multifrequency dial tones. The TI-2400 Phone Bank uses only 9 keys for alphanumeric entry like a phone.
In Germany the color schema of the TI-2700 Mini Data Bank
was slightly changed.
Texas Instruments launched in 1987 a very innovative product line with the TI-2400
Phone Bank, TI-2600
Personal Banker, TI-2700
Mini Data Bank, and TI-2800
Paperless Printer followed till 1990 with the TI-2100
Pocket Info, TI-2900
Info Bank, TI-3100
Pocket Dialer, TI-3200
Pro Dialer, and TI-3400
Europa.
If you know the history of Texas Instruments it seems to commemorate the introduction of the TI-2500 Datamath a quarter century ago.
