TI-NspireCAS_Touchpad_BK_BACK.jpg (376807 Byte)Texas Instruments announced on March 8, 2010 the new TI-Nspire CAS Touchpad and Operating System 2.0. The new OS 2.0, including the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition 2.54MP, was released for the TI-Nspire CAS with Clickpad, too.

Please notice that the 1st generation TI-Nspire CAS calculators can't be upgraded with the new Touchpad, for the previous TI-Nspire w/o CAS a Touchpad is available as an option selling around US$ 10.00. Remember that the first generation of the TI-Nspire and TI-Nspire CAS used a completely different keyboard concept and only the non-CAS device supported the exchangeable "TI-84 Plus Keypad".

To reduce theft of school-owned TI-Nspire's a "school bus yellow" edition is available.

As of January 2011 a total of four different keyboards are available for the 2nd generation TI-Nspire (non-CAS):

TI-Nspire Touchpad (The new alphanumeric keyboard of the 2nd generation TI-Nspire
TI-Nspire Touchpad EZ-Spot (Black yellow color scheme)
TI-84 Plus Keypad (The black edition of the original keyboard of the TI-Nspire)
TI-84 Plus EZ-Spot Keypad (Added yellow "School Property" logo)
