Just a design variation of the original TI-36X SOLAR. 

In 1993 this successful calculator was discontinued. Texas Instruments introduced a complete new family in a smoother housing:

TI-30X SOLAR With Anylite solar-cells
TI-35X  Adds 2-dim statistics and hex-calculations
TI-36X SOLAR  With Anylite solar-cells
