Just a redesign of the original TI-34 II introduced already in 1999.
A more detailed description of the changes could be found here.
Dismantling
the redesigned TI-30X
IIS and TI-34 II gave some interesting details in the position of the Reset
key, different printed circuit boards (PCB's) and even
changed material of the plastic case among the contract manufactureres of the
two-liners.
The
latest TI-34 II looks familiar to us, the leading SR-16 designation
is known from Kinpo Electronics,
Inc.. Compared with a TI-34 II manufactured in 2000 we noticed only a slight
revision from SR-160-11-1 to SR-160-12. We purchased another TI-34
II in 2010 and found a completely different internal construction!
Don't miss the redesigned TI-30X
IIB, TI-30X
IIS, TI-36X II, TI-40
Collège II, and BA II PLUS.
Texas Instruments complemented both the TI-30X
IIB and TI-30X IIS
with the next generation scientific calculators TI-30XB
MultiView resp. TI-30XS MultiView in June 2007.
The successor of the TI-34 II was announced May 9, 2007, too but the
TI-34
MultiView didn't hit the stores together with its sibblings.
