The design of the original TI-5008 was slightly changed to match with the Basic calculators. We discovered already with the TI-1766 a minor change:
|TI-1766 (1982): TI-logo bold and below the display|
|TI-1766 (1984): TI-logo thin and below keyboard|
happened with this TI-5008.
The paper used with this printer (PMF05228 1-1/2" wide and 14 Feet length) is still available at different sources, e.g. shoplet.com.
