The
TI-5008 looks like the cheaper sibbling of the TI-5000.
Actually the design was changed to fit to the "office grey" colour of
other products.
The desktop line then covered 6 different calculators:
| TI-5008 Pocket-sized, thermal printing | |
| TI-5010 Small-sized, standard paper | |
| TI-5032 Desktop-sized, battery option | |
| TI-5130 10-digits, standard paper | |
| TI-5142-III 12-digits, standard paper | |
| TI-5020 Non-printing, solar powered |
The same thermal printer was used on calculators like the rare TI-45 MSP.
In 1984 the design of the TI-5008 was slightly changed, compare it here.
Printer paper:
The paper used with this printer (PMF05228 1-1/2" wide and 14 Feet length) is still available at different sources, e.g. shoplet.com.
