The TI-608 added a tiltable display to the normal basic functions known from other calculators like the TI-1706-II.
Interesting to know that the printed circuit board (PCB) carries a TI-1706 II designation.
Other calculators with a tiltable display were introduced with the TI-32 and the TI-1768 and its sibbling TI-1768 II.
Texas Instruments introduced in Europe with the TI-608 nameplate already in 1987 a small desktop calculator.
