The original TI-1850 Visor Kit was introduced already in 1981 and is based on the TI-1001.
This
particular calculator was manufactured in December 1984 and makes still use of
the printed circuit board (PCB) and single-chip calculator circuit
TP0311
introduced in 1978 with the TI-1030.
The TI-1850 Visor Kit was not the only approach to combine a already known
calculator with some useful accessories. Don't miss the TI-1040A
Tax Pak and the TI-1880 Checkwriter.
