Before
Texas Instruments replaced their own LED-modules with the Bowmar Opto-stick they
manufactured some calculator prototypes. This early TI-2500B prototype is based
on the TI-2500 Version 3 and used already in
October, 1973 the Bowmar display.
Two month later the TI-2500B was introduced on the
market.
Please notice that the battery compartment of this calculator is missing the
small groove to open it without damaging the nails. We noticed this flaw already
with the TI-2510.
