Only
few month after introduction of the original TI-31
engineers at Toshiba choosed smaller solar cells and the calculator was renamed
to TI-31 SOLAR.
The
electronics inside the TI-31 SOLAR uses still the Toshiba T6974S single-chip
calculator circuit discovered in the TI-30 SLR.
Later the production of the TI-31 SOLAR was
shifted to China.
