This TI-36 SOLAR manufactured by Texas Instruments in Italy uses smaller solar cells than the original design. In addition we noticed slight changes in the color scheme of the keys and lettering.

The TI-36 SOLAR was manufactured both in Italy and Taiwan. We found no differences between this model assembled in Italy and a TI-36 SOLAR from Taiwan.

The successor of this calculator could be found with the TI-36X SOLAR.
