The TI-30 STAT followed the TI-30 III. We know the electronics from the slimline TI-35. A similar calculator was introduced one year earlier with the TI-30. Don't miss the rare TI-18 SLR using a similar housing.

Two years later the TI-30 STAT got a slightly different styling. Compare it here.

If you are interested in the calculating accuracy of scientific calculators don't miss the Calculator forensics.

sr-16_PCB.jpg (166191 Byte)The CD4557A used in this calculator could be traced back to the SR-16 with the TMS1001 - the first LSI MOS chip of the TMS1000 family. The picture at the right gives you a comparision between the modern C-MOS design of a TI-30 STAT and the original P-MOS design used in the SR-16.
