The TI-31 Solar is identical to the TI-31 introduced two year earlier. The main difference between the Italian and Japanese products is the size of the solar cells and the internal construction. You'll notice these differences at the Japanese BA-SOLAR and the Italian BA-SOLAR, too.

A less sophisticated calculator was introduced with the TI-30 SOLAR.

The calculator was produced both in Italy (shown) and in China with a slightly different design. Find the China version here.
