In
the year 1996 Texas Instruments changes the design of the scientific calculators
to a smoother design. The family covers:
| TI-30Xa | |
| TI-30Xa Solar | |
| TI-36X Solar Includes 2-dim statistics,
conversions and binary/hexadecimal number bases |
Within this family two financial calculators appeared:
| BA Real Estate | |
| BA-35 Solar |
Together
with the new design of the calculators the "chip-on-board" or COB-technology was
introduced in the manufacturing process. We know this technolgy already from the
PS-2100 Databank introduced in 1992.
The calculator chip is attached direct on the printed circuit board and
connected with small bond-wires. A small blob of epoxy resin on top
finishes the construction.
The first BA Real Estate was introduced already in 1993.
