The original Canon LD-8M 2 with a
Hitachi HD36264 calculator circuit.
Like the LD-81 the display tuband
PCB are smaller than the successors.

One series of the Canon LD-8M 3
uses a TMS1042 calculator circuit. 

The other series uses a uPD946C 
circuit manufactured by NEC. 

The later Canon LD-8M4 uses again
the Hitachi HD36264 calculator circuit.
