The Canon
LC-1 uses a large calculator
chip soldered like a surface mounted device. The yellow LC-display is mounted behind the black plastic hood. Exploring the copper shielding foil reveals a DC/DC converter. |
The later TI-1750 uses a
similar housing soldered from the backside of the printed circuit board. The LC-display is connected with 30 small springs.
