manufactured in November 1987 by Cal-Comp Electronics in Taiwan (Date code C-1187 » mth 11 yr 1987).

(PCB) of the Apothecalc hides its calculator brain. Please notice the "dummy" battery inserted in the left compartment.

centered around a Toshiba T9784 single-chip calculator circuit instead the usual Texas Instruments chips.
