DATAMATH  CALCULATOR  MUSEUM

Specifications of Entry Level Graphing Calculators (2008/2009)

Texas Instruments entered with the TI-81 in 1990 the market of graphing calculators. Within five years different upgraded and downgraded descendants of the original design were introduced with the TI-82, TI-85 and TI-80 but only the TI-82 Parcus survived into the new millennium. Both hardware and software of the offspring was changed frequently and in 2004 the TI-82 STATS was identical to the TI-83 Parcus.

Fellow calculator collector Xavier Andréani started some time ago to compare the different software versions of TI’s graphing calculators, while the Datamath Calculator Museum focused on their different hardware versions. In a joint effort we generated the present comprehensive comparison of some recent TI graphing calculator specifications.
