The second series of the TI-81 uses a huge
Printed Circuit Board (PCB) with three
display drivers.

The third series of the TI-81 got a 
revised display driver attached directly
to a flexible board with very thin traces.

The second series of the TI-81 combined an
application specific Z80 CPU with one 
external RAM and one ROM.

The third series of the TI-81 replaced
the application specific CPU with a
standard Z80 CPU and an ASIC.
