The sales box of the HX-3100 Data Modem sold around 1984 in the US.

This HX-3100 Data Modem for the CC-40 was manufactured in February 1984 by
Texas Instruments in Lubbock, TX (Date code LTA 0884 » wk 08 yr 1984).

The HX-3100 Data Modem can be operated with 4 AA-sized Alkaline batteries or an external power supply.

The bottom shell of the housing of the HX-3100 Data Modem removed.

The two printed circuit boards (PCBs) of the HX-3100 Data Modem are connected with a flexible jumper cable.
