Texas
Instruments introduced in 1980 a family of 4 similar desktop
calculators. Most features are identical, differences could be found in the
display and memory architecture:

Dismantling
the TI-5213 reveals a clear layout. The printer mechanism and power supply are
located in separate cavities of the housing. The keyboard could be easily
removed and reveals the printed circuit board (PCB) of the calculator.
The
PCB of the TI-5213 makes use of a single-chip microcomputer uPD1251G
manufactured by NEC Corporation, Japan. The PCB was obviously manufactured by
Kentron.
The TI-5213 is featured in the Texas Instruments Incorporated bulletin
CL-652 dated 1981.
