The
TI-5028 uses a much simpler hardware than the original
TI-2800 Paperless Printer.

Instead
an external RAM to store up to 99 lines of calculation results the TI-5028 uses
a single-chip microcomputer. The drawback is the reduced storage capacity of
only 45 lines.
Like its predecessor makes the TI-5028 use of two individual LC-displays.
The TI-5038 received the same cost optimization, compare it with the later TI-5038 II.
