TI-EC_BOX.jpg (52122 Byte)This TI-EC3 was introduced in 2006 together with the TI-EC5 and TI-EC7 Pro in Europe. It followed the -2000+ tracing back to the -2000 introduced already in 1999. It is not easy to follow the decision path why a complete series of Euro-calculators was introduced in 2006. Please remember that on January 1st, 2002 the introduction of the new bank notes and coins took part in EMU (European Monetary Union).

Shortly after the introduction of the TI-EC3 the successor TI-EC3+ was announced together with the TI-EC5+ and TI-EC7 Pro+. At first glance the only changes are a new up-to-date design but Texas Instruments told the customers of the TI-EC7 Pro the reason. Read this story here:
