The sibling of the TI-605 with a darker housing. An identical calculator in a silver housing was available in other countries with the TI-1768.

The backside of the housing is made of steel, the small wallet uses a magnetic plate to hold the calculator inside.

Within one year the design of the TI-606 was slightly changed to accommodate smaller solar cells. In 1988 the layout of the solar cells was changed again before in 1989 production of the calculator was shifted to Thailand. Don't miss the new TI-606 and the small desktop calculator TI-608.
