The TI-1775 separates the keyboard from the display and uses a foldable housing. This results in a calculator with the size of a pocket calculator and a keyboard of a desktop calculator.
We know this style of calculators since Texas Instruments introduced the TI-2130 in 1984.
The calculating capabilities are similar to the TI-1766 III and the TI-1795.
Within one year the production of the TI-1775 was shifted to Malaysia and both the size of the display and solar cells was reduced.
The next generation branded TI-1775+ combined a smart housing with a clock.
