The original
TI-106 was introduced already in 1989 and received a
major redesign in 1996. This third generation of the TI-106 looks identical to
the second generation TI-106 but added a small battery to
the solar cells.
Dismantling
this TI-106 manufactured in April 2004 reveals a simple and clean design with
the already mentioned CR1220 lithium battery next to the solar cells. Don't miss
a later TI-106 assembled in December 2006 with a
slightly different printed circuit board (PCB).
Don't miss
the TI-106 II released early in 2014 in some
European countries.
