The
DataChron, a.k.a. TI-1790-II, replaced the original TI-1790
within one year and seems to be just a stylish variation.
Dismantling
the DataChron reveals indeed a more or less identical design centered around a Toshiba
T3566 single-chip calculator
circuit.
